4 Things That Grabbed Our Attention On Day 3 at LFW Winter Festive 2013
Hot Holiday Wear And Studded Saree Belts
One of my fave resort wear designers, Pria Kataaria Puri, presented a stellar collection of sultry silhouettes and hot monokinis that will make you want to hit the beach stat. True to her trademark style, she created edgy prints leaning on the psychedelic side in bright colours for a unique collection of kaftans, gowns, bikinis/monokinis and even sarees. Loving those spunky, studded belts she added on top of dresses and swimsuits and especially with the saree.
Metallic Stripes And Structured Silhoettes
An evening wear collection in rich jewel tones as well as blacks and greys comprising gowns and saree gowns with unique, structured cuts. The sarees had beautiful sculpted bodices to flatter your figure whereas; some of the gowns were body hugging on top with structured flared skirts that bordered towards OTT. He added metallic touches with horizontal stripes for a look that has never been tried before.
Red Hot Embroidery
Boho chic meets the modern woman, in Nupur Kanoi’s ‘Eccentric Tour’. Displaying the gorgeous crafts of India, her line boasted of different types of embroidery. What stood out most were deep red kurtas, dresses, tops and even a cool biker jacket with Kutch embroidery. She displayed more glamorous pieces in regal sapphire featuring crewel embroidery for maxi skirts, jackets and kurtas in amazing cuts.
Wearable Hippe Chic
Anita Dongre’s high street brands, Global Desi and AND presented a lively show of bright colours and graphic prints with a glamorous approach to gypsy fashion. Consisting of fun headgear and groovy sunglasses paired with solid colours and bold prints reminiscent of the 70’s era, this is one collection that is so wearable straight off the ramp. Now we know where to get the perfect wardrobe the next time we attend a music fest.
