5 Super Ways To Style Hair Buns

If your tresses have a mind of their own and are way out of control, buns are the way to tame them. If your hair is frizzy, has split ends and a whole lot of other problems, you can save time and try these easy buns hairstyles which we guarantee that are no less chic.

1. Braided Top Knot
Give a twist to your everyday top knot bun by adding a braid to it.

How to make it:

1. Take all your hair and tie it up in a ponytail.

2. Tease your hair a bit for volume if it’s flat.

3. Start braiding loosely and secure it with a rubber band.

4. Now, start spiralling it loosely in a clockwise motion till you run out of braid.

5. Tuck the end under the bun and secure it with pins.

2. The Fun-Bun
This is the easiest way to do a bun when you are running out of time.

How to make it:

1. If your hair is flat then you might have to tease it a little or use a curling iron to give it some volume. Skip this step if your hair has volume or is curly.

2. Now, flip your hair, gather everything and secure it into a ponytail.

3. When you are securing for the last time, only pull the ponytail through halfway.

4. Take the loop you’ve created and spread it to its maximum.

5. Take the remaining tail end and wrap it around the ponytail base. Secure it with pins.

6. Gently pull the hair and pin it. The messier, the better!

7. If you wish, you can use a spray to keep the hair in place.

3. The French Bun
The best part about this hairdo is that you can do it on wet hair, too.

1. French braid your hair till the crown and pin it up.

3. Twist the hair into a bun.

You can puff up the look if it looks too flat.

4. Twisted top knot

How to make it:

1. This hairdo requires volume, so if need be, blow dry your hair to make it look fuller.

2. Secure all the hair in a ponytail and divide it into two sections.

3. Divide two separate sections of one ponytail and then twist the two strands. Secure it with elastic.

4. Repeat the same on the other strand.

5. Take both the twisted ponytails and continue to twist and wrap it around the base of the ponytail.

6. Use bobby pins to secure them.

Tip: you may need an extra hand with the twisting.

5. The Fishtail Bun

How to make it:

1. If your hair is thin and flat, you might need to give it some volume. You can back comb, tease it or curl it at the crown and at the back.

2. Start doing the fishtail braid on the side.

3. Once done, pull out the hair and make it look fluffy.

4. Twist it and secure with pins.

Add some cute accessories to finish your hairdo.

The best part about buns is that no matter what your hair type is, they can take you from day to dawn and from boardroom to lounge. So, go ahead and add fun twists (pun intended) to your regular buns.
