7 Celebrities You Should Never Take Fashion Inspiration From
Bollywood has always been a source of not just entertainment, but also fashion inspiration. However, following a celebrity blindly can only result in disaster! Here are 7 celebs you should never take style advice from (unless you want to know what not to wear!)
1) Ameesha Patel
When she debuted with Kaho Na Pyaar Hai in 2000, our expectations soared sky-high. However, that experience was short-lived. When her actual style shone through, this is what we got—a skull-print tee dress worn with porn star pantyhose and a shredded crop top with Daisy Dukes. Ugh!
2) Huma Qureshi
She’s obviously never read our story on dressing for your body shape. The short orange floral miniskirt is only drawing attention to her (heavy) thighs. And that poorly fitted outfit on the right does her no favours either.
3) Vidya Balan
This is an obvious one. While we respect women who wear Indian outfits, Vidya’s selections leave much to be desired. Whether it’s a long, embroidered anarkali, a printed sari or a simple dress, this is one woman who never gets it right.
4) Tanishaa Mukherjee
Can anyone justify these tacky outfits? We’ve never seen a mermaid gown that’s so ill-fitting, nor have we seen a dress as badly hemmed as the embroidered one. Tanu, why don’t you ask big sis to give you a makeover—please?
5) Parineeti Chopra
We’re big fans of her cheerful and vivacious personality, but her bad taste in clothes seems to supersede all that. The boob show in the sky-blue gown gives a cheap vibe to the outfit and the jeans and blazer look, while not horrendous, is too boring for a pretty young thing as her. Glam up, girl!
6) Mallika Sherawat
This wannabe Hollywood starlet seems to have redefined the meaning of tack. If it wasn’t the lingerie-esque black velvet dress, it was this feathery contraption that made us wonder which bird she was aiming to resemble. And while we’re big proponents of sheer, this is surely a sheer disaster.
7) Konkona Sen Sharma
We understand and appreciate that everyone has their own style. Having said that, this dusky beauty’s wardrobe needs a definite upgrade. Her outdated and boring saris bring back memories of the Pyaar Hua Ikraar Hua days. The song was shot in 1955, Konkona. Update your closet—now!
