Best Dressed at The 56th Annual Grammy Awards

Music is no longer only for aural pleasure, for there is an abundance of visual delight on the red carpet of the 56th annual Grammy awards. While some went metallic, some went wild yet the artists seemed to have embraced not only the art of music but also that of fashion. Here we have five ladies that looked mesmerising, leaving us with nothing to complain about.

1)      Taylor Swift in a metallic Gucci gown

Taylor knows the red carpet tricks well!

Taylor knows the red carpet tricks well!

Lately, we feel Taylor Swift has become the red carpet expert and it’s most likely a unanimously believed fact around the globe. She attended the Grammys in a metallic Gucci gown with innumerable crystals embedded on it. Magnificent eyes with hues of radiant orchid, soft pink lips and a pony tail complemented the attire. Minimalistic jewellery (just a pair of Swarovski earrings) avoided taking away attention from her armour-like gown. Taylor knows all the tricks of red carpeting!

2)      Katy Perry in Valentino

Play music, wear music.

Play music, wear music.

Katy Perry is high on fashion and she catches it right after it gets off the ramp, especially if it has musical notes on it. Dressed in the latest Valentino tulle gown, she looked like a princess of modern times. A neatly braided bun and those wide blue eyes, if anything the dress seemed a perfect fit for her.

3)      Colbie Cailat in a red Ezra Santos

When in doubt, wear red!

When in doubt, wear red!

Colbie went dramatic and bold this Grammys in a red Ezra Santos gown with an exaggerated train as she walked down the red carpet in her Jimmy Choos. It was a fresh diversion from her usual sweet girl-next-door look and definitely a very good one. Thumbs up to the change!

4)      Bonnie McKee in a blue Randa Salamoun

Reminds you of the evening sky?

Reminds you of the evening sky?

For those of you who aren’t very familiar with this head-turning beauty, Bonnie McKee is the one who writes the beautiful lyrics to the songs you love to listen. Nominated for writing Roar for Katy Perry, she attended the Grammys in a blue gown with a flared, sweeping train which flattered her curves in the best possible ways. She carried a clutch matching with her burnt orange dyed hair, and we would say it was the most perfect color palette we spotted at the Grammys this year.

5)      Ciara in a metallic Emilio Pucci gown

Still pretty!

Still pretty!

What’s the difference between pregnant Ciara and not pregnant Ciara? Apart from the baby bump, nothing! She looked as stunning as ever in the Emilio Pucci metallic gown while she walked down the red carpet. If anything, the pregnancy has brought a new charm and happiness on her already pretty face.
