Celeb Style Weekly: Oh No, Nargis!
Hello, pretty ladies. Are you looking forward to Saturday night? Before you start putting together your ensemble, how about a quick recap of celeb style this week? Take a cue from our B-town beauties on how to dress up (or how not to!)
Which belles gave a competition to the Greek Goddesses? Whose outfit was the disaster of the week? Read more to find out.
1) Susanne Khan
Susanne, la femme petite, attended the launch of Pearl Academy’s campus in an all-white look. She wore a fit-and-flare dress and a sporty pair of Louboutins for her feet. While we generally love the look (monotone being our favorite this season), this would have worked well for a Golf day or even a lazy Sunday brunch rather than a fashion event.
2) Kangana Ranaut
Kangana Ranaut was spotted wearing a DvF exaggerated leopard print maxi. She kept the look simple and paired it with pink flip-flops and bag. While one might say she is under dressed but for the hot Indian summers, this look is just right. We think it’s quite sexy actually.
3) Malaika Arora Khan
Malaika Arora Khan attended the store launch of Turquoise & Gold in white shorts and blazer by the same label. She wore a monochrome top underneath which would look better if it was close-fitted. Your thoughts?
4) Nargis Fakhri
We have always believed that irrespective of what Nargis wears, she looks gorgeous. But this spoof of a dress proved us wrong. It is beyond our comprehension. Why is it strangely gathered and stitched at the sides? And those few awkward tucks below the bust? It could have been a nice one, and then somebody thought of playing with their needles!
5) Esha Gupta
Esha Gupta walked the red carpet at the Grazia Young Fashion Awards in a sensuous white gown by Nikhil Thampi with a dangerously high slit (she carried it off beautifully.) Side swept hair and bold red lips reminded us of the old Hollywood glamour. We love what you did, femme fatale!
6) Sushmita Sen
We’ve seen Sushmita charming us off our feet since ages and her mesmerising effect never fades on us. She made an appearance at Kapil’s comedy nights in black leather pants and monochrome leather applique top. Though it’s not the season to wear leather but if you’re gonna be in centralised AC all the time, it would make sense. However, we wish she had skipped the uncalled for waist belt.
7) Alia Bhatt
Alia Bhatt wore a pair of skinny-fit denims and a black top and a blazer. It’s casual and we don’t find anything mismatched or wrong with the look. But we wouldn’t call it one of her gorgeous ones either. It was probably one of those days when she didn’t feel like dressing up. We can’t say we blame her. Agree?
So that was the round up for the week! Hope you have a fashionable weekend. And do try denim on denim, our weekend outfit inspiration.
