Move over homes that look like tid-bits of sleek apartments from Manhattan or royal mansions from Milan. It is now time for some Indian magic to work its charm. Inspired by Kashmiri heritage and their ornate design patterns, Good Earth
brings to us soft-line furnishings and more knick-knacks from their latest collection called Farah Baksh.
The collection is a healthy mix of cushion covers, bed linen, dinnerware, centre-pieces and even apparel. Kashmiri heritage being the primary inspiration for this collection, we expect it to receive stupendous critical acclaim. Add to the potion, the excellent creative sensibilities that Good Earth has and the collection is bound to make waves amongst those who are looking for newer ways to style their homes. The collection is believed to be a mainstay at all the stores with fresh designs being launched every month.
Designing and curating this collection was such a delight to the Good Earth’s team of designers that they decided to also pen and put together the array of colourful memories that they brought back from Kashmir. This also marks the launch of their very first design journal, which is an extension to the collection that shares its design inspirations. This includes the likes of the legacies of favourite Mughals, architectural sketches, a recipe for saffron tea, verses of poems, people and places.
Calling them ‘Soulful Inspirations, Decadent Designs’, the journal is also on sale at all the outlets of Good Earth across the country from 13th March 2013 onwards.
