Celeb Style at LFW Summer Resort 2013
The best part about Fashion Week is not only the runway styles but also a generous dose of front-row fashion. Here’s what the glam brigade wore to the biggest sartorial event of the year.
Neha attended the shows in a crop top and colour-blocked pleated maxi skirt. Though, the combination of a crop top and maxi skirt is generally a great choice and she is even showing just the right amount of mid-riff, just feel that the skirt is doing nothing to flatter her wide hips.
It was great to see Shazahn in anything but those mini-dresses and pumps that she’s always seen in. Loving her casual chic style in Masaba for Satya Paul lipstick-print tights and a relaxed black shirt. I’m really digging these lipstick-prints now, would love to get my hands on these tights now.
This has got to be one of my fave looks from the entire week. It was love at first sight with this grey Manish Malhotra saree with neon and sequinned black borders and that beautiful net blouse. With that lovely updo and gorgeous saree, Kajol looked stunning.
Freida was spotted in the front row to support Naeem Khan in a dress by the designer that is straight off the runway. Some people have all the luck! Her hair and makeup was immaculate and she did justice to the embroidered, black one-shouldered dress.
Asin took in Shehla Khan’s show wearing a lemon anarkali by the designer. Love the colour but I think the look as a whole is a bit too over-the-top. With the gold accents in the outfit, the gold heels and the big, gold statement earrings, the entire outfit is a bit too gaudy for my liking. It looks like she’s going to break into a jig for her best friend’s baraat any moment.
Sameera looked fashionably fabulous in a mint green top, black skirt, nude pumps and a slick ponytail. She added a statement necklace to add that extra zing to her Fashion Week style.
Poorna paired this lovely Shivan and Narresh number with black pumps and a girly updo. Love that she added a touch of vintage with that bag. The entire look would have been a hit, if only she had remembered to iron the dress!
Also in Shivan and Narresh was the pretty Miss. Hassan in a colour-blocked dress by the designer duo. Thumbs up to her for choosing this trendy dress, it looked great on her.
