The Week That Was: 5th to 11th January
This week temperatures have clearly dropped. But luckily, when it comes to entertainment, the week was hardly thanda. Sit back with a hot cuppa and let’s look at what the second week of the year had in store for us. Yes ladies and gentlemen it’s time for *insert applause here* The Week That Was.
Hrithik Roshan Turns To Salman Khan
…Of all the things in the world, for marriage advice. Am I the only one who finds this weird? Reports have been doing the rounds that a crest fallen Hrithik showed up at Salman’s house and they spoke for ten hours. Now here’s the reason things are going BOOM in my head. Ten hours and two very weird accents aside, why on earth would Salman Khan be good at marriage advice? I mean I love Salman Khan movies as much as the next girl, but he’s hardly known for his sorted personal life. He even sort of admitted on Koffee With Karan about his philandering ways and lack of ability to settle down. Rumour has it, that he has even physically abused past girlfriends. Hrithik, if you want to get real advice about saving your marriage at least go to someone who is an expert in the department.
Dabboo Ratnani Calendar Launch
You know it is ace lens man Daboo Ratnani’s Calendar Launch when the slope in Bandra’s Union Park is jam packed. Traffic is at a standstill because the biggest names in Bollywood have gathered at Olive to unveil the 2014 calendar. With new looks, new personas and an attempt at creating iconic pictures even the stars seem excited to show them off to the world. Some pictures have turned out nice, but some gave us the feeling that we’ve seen them before. We’ll give Dabboo Ratnani this much, his calendar always creates news; whether it is Kajol’s picture that looks strikingly similar to Angelina Jolie’s old picture or the fact that Vidya Balan dared to bare almost all. See for yourself:
Gulab Gang Is Here
This week gave me something I’m going to be excited about for the next few weeks to come. That’s right, the trailer of Gulab Gang. How explosive does this movie look? Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawla, now we are talking asli Bollywood. These two leading ladies didn’t rule the roost for so long just like that. They both are stellar performers in their own right and I can’t wait for them to create magic on screen together. Here’s to Gulab Gang, here’s to woman power!
Miley Cyrus + Marc Jacobs
First let’s congratulate Miley Cyrus for making it back to our Week That Was list. Then let’s rejoice she’s worn all her clothes and lastly let’s marvel at the fact that she’s bagged none other than Marc Jacobs’ ad campaign. The first look was revealed this week and I’ve got to say I like what I see. None of her usual antics, so many clothes and a rather somber mood. If this is the one step she’s taken towards shedding her crazy image, we say well played Miley. As for Marc Jacobs, we continue to drool at his designs as always.
So that was this week’s round up. Let’s ring in the new week like we do any other. By keeping calm and staying InOnIt.
Till then, love and warmth!
