Chinese Restaurant Chao Ban Opens in Fort

For the lovers of Chinese cuisine, a new restaurant has opened up in Fort, replacing Joss that served East Asian cuisine. Called Chao Ban, this new one comes from the makers of the Global Kitchen group that owns Irish House and Serafina.
The interiors of this much large space are contemporary with wooden hues and floorings. The menu consists of traditional Chinese dishes with a twist such as steamed or fried options of dumplings and dim sums in veg and non veg, pan fried noodles, chicken wings, crab with sweet buns and more. Literally meaning ‘welcome’ in Vietnamese, Chao Ban has not got raging reviews, but is moderately priced with approximately Rs. 2,000 for a meal for two without alcohol.
The restaurant is open from noon till 5 pm and from 7 pm till 1 am every day.
