DIY Clothes: Denim Redone

Highly worn, highly torn. This is a line that probably best describes the most staple garment on the planet. As much as they are loved and adored by everyone, are they cut and frayed. From factory workers in World War II to everyone in 2013, denims have become a must have in every closet.

Here are some quick DIY tips to reinvent your old denims and reuse them in a new way.

If you have succeeded in doing the impossible, that is lose weight, you probably have lose fitting jeans! Stitch on some elastic cuffs at the hem, probably in a different color, print and pattern and you are good to go! Roll them at the hem to show the cuffs for an outdoorsy, country feel! You could do this to your boyfriend denims or your boyfriend’s denims as well!

To get the distressed look: Rub your jeans with sandpaper to distress them or slash them with a razor to fray them!

When your sick of wearing your jeans, or the bottom starts looking worn, you could even cut them and use them as shorts.

Or you could stitch on some patches. Or slit them and stitch them back with a different colored thread. Or stitch a border onto it. Doll up with ornamental chains dangling onto them.

Dress them up or dress them down. They will always be by your side, even if you arent always good to them.
