How To Dress For Summer Fashion Week
Lakme Fashion Week is right round the corner and you wouldn’t want to attend it looking so-last-season. Take the excuse to spruce up your Spring/Summer wardrobe and look like a diva at LFW.
While the fashionistas are very excited about all the style there will be, you may be worried to avoid making a fashion week faux pas you will regret the rest of the year. Don’t you fret, read on to know how to dress for Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2014.
Fashion is visual art and nothing appeals to our visual senses more than a burst of colors. When you hit the mall for shopping, choose your ensemble in pastels and Ladurée hues. Radiant orchid and orange would be great if you want to bring a little sass along. If you want to go classic, nothing like an all-white!
I would have pretended to go humble and non-materialistic and say clothes don’t make a man, but we all know it’s a lie, especially in the fashion industry. The need to dress well is not just personal, it is also social. So what will you wear? We’d say ditch your bodycon and invest in skater or sheath dress if you have a flaunt-worthy waist, else go shift. If you want length than nothing better than a slit midi dress.
Incase one of the days you plan to put on a skirt, and you must, then we’d say you have a lot of silhouettes to choose from. Side peplums and midi length pencil skirt, midi and maxi slit skirt as well as tea-length voluminous skirts- it’s time for the bottoms to take over.
Bold prints are trending, so make sure whether you choose a floral or paisley, let it be magnified. Take it up a notch and go crazy with mixed prints. Stripes with florals or ikat and paisley?
It is essential to make a statement with at least one statement accessory. Adorn a necklace or bold earrings and you are set to shine. Also, we’d say skip your tote and hobos for a nice sling bag or clutch. It’s fashion week honey, you aren’t going for shopping!
At the end of it, wear your happiest smile, and a few drops of your favourite parfum. Invincible!
