Emmys 2013 Red Carpet Looks And Trends
The stars came out in all their glory to celebrate Tv’s biggest night. Check out all the trends and whether the sartorial choices of the stars worked or not on the Emmys 2013 red carpet.
It proved that it is still the reigning colour of 2013, with plenty of appearances on the red carpet in the form of gowns as well as statement-making gems. The elegant colour made a dazzling statement.
The Modern Family star looked all grown up and fabulous in a gorgeous emerald green number that was cinched at the waist. We absolutely love the lace detailing on the dress and think it was a great choice. She paired it with stunning emerald danglers and berry lips.
There was nothing surprising about Sofia’s cleavage-bearing, figure hugging gown but we’re not complaining. She looked fantabulous as always. With her assets on full display, her emerald earrings and cocktail ring still managed to grab enough attention.
Really not a fan of the dress but she looked nice. Seeing her dressed up and nothing like her character of Amy Farah Fowler on The Big Bang Theory was a welcome change.
A lot of the stars took to showing off their long, lean legs in gorgeous see-through skirts.
Looking seriously supermodel-esque was this Game Of Thrones beauty in black lace, while playing peek-a-boo with her legs. We’re not very sure about the sheer bit at the crotch and the white shoes but she looked fierce and fabulous none the less.
She showed off her stems in an ice blue number. Don’t understand the swimsuit-like bottom under the see-through skirt, it’s like she and Lena are trying to start a new trend of their own.
The Scandal star looked stunning as always. The gown fits her beautifully and the textured detailing and sheer bottom looked amazing on the red carpet.
Another popular colour of the night was this rich shade of purple.
The lovable Lilly from How I Met Your Mother was pretty in purple. With side-swept waves, she couldn’t have looked more adorable.
Our lovably Penny was one of the best dressed of the night in a romantic gown in a delicious colour. She looked beautiful without having to reveal too much in a bustier with a sexy sheer middle and a tulle skirt.
Looking great in Versace was the uber fashionable Heidi Klum. Only she could pull off a dress like this with that outrageous neckline, though we are getting slightly bored with her bold looks. Maybe she should start dressing a little more age appropriate?
Tucked Back Hair
Beauties like Kate Mara, Tina Fey and Sofia Vergara pulled back and tucked the front sections of their hair behind their ears for a super chic and sleek hairstyle.
Large Cocktail Rings
These ladies sported big baubles on their digits which was a major trend on the red carpet. Their fingers caught many an eye with their large cocktail rings which was a great way to accessorize their gowns.
Biggest Let Down:
This blue-eyed beauty is known to wow us with her unique and quirky style but her choice of gown this year was a total let down. Compared to her usually interesting personal style, this frock was plain boring and totally lackluster. You can do so much better Zoey!
Looking like she wrapped herself in tin foil, the ex-judge of a reality show, Paula Abdul was definitely missing the x factor and how! Wrinkles and messy hair plus a turtleneck, really? There are just too many things that are so wrong about this so-called red carpet look.
