Everyday Is A Friday At T.G.I.FRiDAY’S
Last Friday I was at T.G.I.FRiDAY’S. Goes with the theme, doesn’t it? So, this casual dining restaurant that focuses on American, Italian and Texus-Mexican cuisine welcomed my friend and me with a Long Island Iced Tea and November Sunbreeze.
The place is dimly lit, and the pop music is loud enough that you need not worry about your neighbor listening to your conversation. Everyone is busy at their own table. So, even we got busy choosing our starters. After a small dilemma, we decided to order for Spicy Chicken Wings, Chicken Fingers and BBQ Chicken Salad. I promise, just like us, even you will fall for the tangy taste of the chicken wings. The chicken fingers are delicious when dipped in mushroom and mayo sauce. The salad was the best. T.G.I.F’s house made BBQ sauce is simply flavouful.
Most of the food served at T.G.I.F has a good amount of cheese. But if you are one of those health conscious persons, the restaurant is always willing to alter their menu. We then ordered for Tortilla Crusted Fish for our main course, and an Ultimate Margarita and Orange Blast to go with our meal. The fish is served with rice and some sauce. The drinks went well with the dish.
I don’t know if we experienced this because it was a Friday, but grabbing the attention of a waiter was difficult. But you can probably look at the walls of the red and white themed restaurant. Every wall at T.G.I.F has some hanging, which includes toys, (yes toys!), instruments, paintings, photographs and a television set as well.
Anyway, we managed to call ourselves some Apple Pie and Chocolate Malted Turtle for dessert. I will call it a choice. An order takes about 10-15 minutes to reach your table, and the quantity is large.
Dinner for 2 would fall between Rs. 1,200 to Rs. 2,000. Well, it depends a lot on your appetite. For your benefit, the menu also has pictures of the various dishes listed. We made most of our choices because of these images. Anyway, once you enter T.G.I.F., it’s always a Friday. Forget work. Just enjoy the moment.
