Trend: Fringe it on!
Fringes seem to be doing the rounds on all types of accessories this season, from scarfs to bags to shoes. Shoe sculptor Payal Kothari feels, a little flow never hurt anyone.
How to wear it: Pair your fringed shoes with a simple figure hugging short skirt. This will balance out the flowing fringes.
Trend: Botanical prints with organic hues
This Spring, load up on botanical prints to add that drama and femininity to your look. Be it a floral printed top, pants, or even accessories, you’ll find plenty of options to choose from.
How to wear it: If your shoes are the ones that are botanical, then keep your outfit simple. Floral prints are dramatic, so stick to accessories and clothes that do not overpower them. The easiest way is to go monotone. Keep your hair messy.
Trend: The Stubborn Mule
This season the mule, once a signature shoe for the over-60 set, has received a youthful makeover. Whether a floral adorned flat, a chunky heel or a sleek stiletto, the new mule is something you’ll want to slip into.
How to Wear it: Pair your pointed mules with cigarette pants to give you an elongated silhouette.
Trend: Strap that ankle
This season you’ll see the rise of the ankle strap. Update your wardrobe with this shoe as it gives you that elegant look while securely keeping the shoe on your foot. I particularly favor this look as I feel that it adds a slimming look to the ankle.
How to wear it: These classic shoes can be used with any outfit, be it your work wear or your party wear. Wear it with a bodycon dress and turn the heat up a notch!
