Fab Trends You Haven’t Tried Yet – But Should!
Ever seen someone pull off a fashion trend with ease and wondered if you could ever emulate that style and look as fantastic as you would like to believe? If only you had the confidence to go ahead with it! It’s perfectly normal to get stuck in a style rut especially with winter here and the standard sweater and jeans do is fine, you tell yourself. However, there are so many awesome fashion trends that you’re missing out on. Here are some trends that I think look great but have been apprehensive about trying though they are worth the sartorial risk.
High-top sneakers – I spotted Priyanka Chopra wearing these recently and thought they looked pretty great, though I never thought them to fit my style before. This form of footwear is the perfect blend of heels and sporty chic minus the discomfort of stilettos, making them worth a try.
Lace blazers – Though I have a long-standing love affair with lace, I haven’t been able to get myself to wear a lace blazer. I thought it to be overly girly, even for me! However, now that we’re thinking of expanding our fashion horizons, I do think a lace blazer would look great on skinny jeans or even on a dress and it is quite perfect for the cooler months.
Spikes – This season, spikes and studs are part of the collections of almost any brand. Though I’m loving the rocker chic vibe, I do find the trend a bit in your face at times. I’m all for trying it out but in a down-played way, I don’t think I’m ready for fully studded ankle boots as yet!
Burgundy lipstick – I’ve always been more of a clear lip gloss kind of girl and was just coming to terms with scarlet and coral stained lips just when burgundy hues have started sending the fashion world in a tizzy. I’ve never been one for dark lips but now that we’re attempting to embrace the risqué, why not? Plus, it’s a great hue for the winter months and does have a certain glam charm to it.
Now that I’m plucking up the courage to try these, tell me if feel the same about these trends or is there another trend you have thought about trying but are apprehensive about? Tell me in your comments below =D
