Fashion Mis-statements At The Golden Globes Red Carpet
So much time and money spent, and still it all went futile? It may be Dolce and Gabbana, but that doesn’t mean it will necessarily strike a chord. We are talking about the much buzzed about Golden Globe Awards 2014 red carpet. You think these stars only dress in the best? Well, sometimes they get it wrong too!
Never imagined her on the list? Well, there’s a first time for everything. Hardly ever gone wrong with her fashion sense, Heidi disappoints the style critics this time. She wears a floral gown by Marchesa, which we liked, but the bangs and that chocker just didn’t work for us.
Prabal Gurung, our homegrown genius from NIFT, failed to create an impact with this dress. A very confusing style, it looks like an experiment on an LBD gone wrong. And it is not at all flattering on the fab Zoe Saldana.
She took the term sunshine quite literally! The fit of Zac Posen dress did nothing for her figure, and the same can be said for this bright yellow colour on her skin.
Ever wondered how Dora The Explorer would look when she grew up? Well, here’s how. Yes, we know everyone is loving Radiant Orchid at the moment, but this is overkill. From the two shades of purple in the gown by Oscar De La Renta to the matching footwear, it looks like she was attacked by a giant grape.
She will always be the pretty woman so don’t get us wrong here. The Dolce and Gabbana off shoulder dress and tucked in white shirt gives us the feel of a corporate party look rather than a Red carpet one. We were really hoping that she would dazzle us with more than just that beautiful smile.
We love her, and wish we could say the same for the dress that she is wearing. Dressed in Monique Lhullier, this dress really didn’t work for her. Although, major points for the pregnancy glow on her face.
The Mission Impossible star stepped onto the red carpet in a Stephane Rolland gown with giant distracting ruffles on the side that definitely grab attention, but really not in a good way.
We really did not know how a black gown could go wrong. But here it is! Uma Thurman, dressed in Atelier Versace, showed us that although black is always bankable, you really do need to pay attention to textures and style.
It’s quite a let down when we see some of the most stylish celebs get it wrong on the Red Carpet. We can hope they’ll make up for it at the Oscars.
