3 Fashion DIYs You Need to Try NOW

Our fashion wishlists are endless and since fairy godmothers don’t exist, we can try creating our own versions of our favourite styles. I got pinspired to try making these fabulous new trends that are super easy and quick. The best part is, you can use stuff already existing in your wardrobe to create these without breaking the bank. Get ready to re-invent your wardrobe any way you like.

Heart Print Stockings

You can make these adorable heart print stockings in time for V-day or you can wear them whenever you want because they’re ultra cute. Just make sure to use good-quality tights or stockings for this DIY.

What You Need:
-Stockings/Sheer Tights
-Acrylic Paint
-Paintbrush
-Cardboard
-Clear Nail polish

Start by creating your heart stencils by drawing them on the cardboard and cutting them out. You can play around with sizes making stencils of big hearts and smaller hearts or you can stick to one size. Next, put on your stockings; place the stencils where you would like and paint in the heart. You may want to ask a friend to help you with this. Make sure to paint a relatively thick layer. Wait till the hearts are completely dry, only then add a layer of clear nail paint to each heart. When that is completely dry, take the stockings off carefully and put them on backwards to repeat the process on the other side. It is extremely important that you let it dry fully between each step.

Leopard Print Jeans/Shorts

Instead of throwing out an old pair of jeans, you can give your denims a wild twist with these super easy steps. If you can’t get enough of animal prints, you will definitely want to strut your stuff in your leopard printed bottoms, made all by yourself.

What You Need:
-Shorts/Jeans
-Fabric Pens
-Iron

Using your fabric pen, draw on your leopard spots by creating the letter C and making it thicker in some parts. Once the ink dries, use an iron on medium heat to fix the drawings on the fabric forever. The fabric pen is permanent so don’t worry about losing your spots after washing. You can even add a funky twist by using bright colours to fill in the spots.

Spiked Heels

If you’ve been lusting after an edgy pair of spiked stilettos, you can try making them for yourself at one-fourth of the price. Get ready to make a statement with your fancy footwear.

What You Need:
-A cute pair of pumps or stilettos of your choice
-A packet of spikes
-Rhinestones
-Super-glue

First, decide where exactly you want to place each spike. You can do them all over the heel or just one line along it. You can even place some in the front of the shoe if you like. Once you’ve decided, start gluing them on. Stick the rhinestones between the spikes to fill up clear spaces on the heel. It’s as fast and easy as that, and you have yourself a new pair of sexy shoes!
