Disaster In The Parlour? Here’s Some Top-Notch Advice Your Beautician Won’t Give You!
Not every trip to the salon leaves you beautiful, relaxed and glowing. Some can leaved you stressed, full of rash and in pain. So what do you do if your beauty professional messes up? Here are a few ways to fix beauty parlour disasters.
1. Uneven Eyebrows
There’s always a hassle with the parlour lady to get just the right shape for your eyebrows. And we’re sure you had that one time when your brows were plucked too thin.
Fix It: The easiest thing to do is to use an eyebrow pencil (buy here) to fill in the gaps and make your eyebrows look thicker. You can also apply castro oil every night to foster the growth of new hair on your brows. Check out this tutorial on how to fix eyebrows.
2. Bad Haircut
Went to a fancy salon and tried on a funky cut? Great. Hated the outcome? Sigh! Don’t worry, girl, we’ve got the answer to that.
Fix It: Use hair products like frizz taming serum (buy here) and leave-in conditioners (buy here) to tame your hair or get extensions till your hair grows out to a decent length. Or, simply use cute hair accessories such as barrette pins and mini-combs. Additionally, strengthen and accelerate hair growth with regular oiling, massage and vitamin intake.
3. Wrong Hair Colour
Highlights look fantastic on those gorgeous locks, but if done badly can look like a disaster. Here’s how you can sort the problem.
Fix It: Wash your hair with harsh shampoo as soon as you leave the salon, this will surely lighten the colour. You can even re-colour or dye it to your natural hair. Check out this link to fix your bad hair colour.
4. Rough Manicure/Pedicure
You went to a new salon to try a funky mani or pedi, but it turned out to be a total disaster. Well, you can fix this too.
Fix It: Trim and file your nails lightly to the regular size and repaint the areas that are ruined. You can also try these creative ways to fix chipped nail paint. Besides, you can always ask the nail technician to fix your nails till you get the desired results.
5. Painful Waxing Rash
Ouch! Yes, thats what we think when it comes to waxing. While a burning sensation after a wax is normal, if you get rashes that last more than three to four hours you’re in trouble.
Fix It: Take a dollop of moisturiser with ice and apply it to the affected area. You can even use antiseptic healing creams (for bruises and cuts) if the rash is on a small area. If the rash is too much, however, the best thing would be to consult a specialist.
6. Reaction to Facial/Bleach
A relaxing facial and glowing bleach is all you need after a long summer. But what if you get rashes and acne on your skin right after? Fix It: Clearly your skin has adversely reacted to one of the ingredients in the treatment. Unfortunately, there is not much you can do at home for this one except apply ice and stay away from any products, including face wash. Our advice? Head to a dermatologist at the earliest. Skin allergies are not to be taken lightly.
