Sharpen your pencils and your mind as you familiarize yourself with the art of designing a comic. A four-hour workshop at Studio X held by self-taught artist and illustrator Gokul Gopalkrishnan. It will throw light on how to plot and design your own story idea for a comic, themed on the close link between comic art and the development of urban centres.
It’s time for the caped hero hiding in your brains to jump out and appear on paper. With this workshop, you will discover the origins and history of comic art and graphic novels and learn to design a narrative sequence for a graphic novel using interplay of images, text, space and time. Participants will also take their ideas to the drawing board as they share their rough scripts and artworks with peers. Flesh out your story idea in this one-day workshop at Studio X on 2nd November, 2012 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
