How to get that ‘natural beauty’ make up look
As much as we love smokey eyes, bright lips and lots of shimmer, sometimes going au naturel can make you look dewy and fabulous. However, it takes quite a bit of make up to perfect the ‘no-make up’ look, believe it or not. We give you a simple step-by-step guide on how to get that natural beauty make up look for a fresh, flawless natural appearance that looks anything but made up.
Step 1: Make sure your face is cleansed and use an oil-free moisturizer to prep your skin before starting.
Step 2: Apply a tinted moisturizer to even out your skin. If you are lucky enough to have great skin then this should be enough, otherwise you can use a liquid foundation on top of this for more coverage.
Step 3: Dab a cream blush lightly with your fingers on the apples of your cheeks upwards towards your temple for a healthy glow. For a further glow, use a highlighter on your brow bone, in the corners of your eyes and along your cheek bones to light up your face.
Step 4: You can forget about eye liner when you’re going au naturel but if you really must use it then draw the thinnest of lines across your lids.
Step 5: It’s best to skip eye shadow all together or you can try a very light brown blended across your lids.
Step 6: Swipe plenty of mascara on your lashes. Be generous with it as you really want to open up your peepers. Make sure to not leave behind any clamps in your lashes though.
Step 7: Forget about a red pout, there’s nothing natural about that. Never use a shade that is darker or lighter than your original lip colour. You can use a peachy lipstick or just a tinted lip balm for a dash of colour and some shine.
