Saffron by Nidhi Tholia
Anarkalis, sarees, lehengas and more at this Jaipur deisgner’s beautiful store. A space large enough that you may wear a lehenga and dance around! We loved the colours she used, both lighter pasteels and gold, as well as the bright pinks and red! The price range is about Rs 20,000-30,000 for the heavy anarkalis, and between Rs. 20,000 to 40,000 for sarees with traditional gota work. Lehengas were available in a wide range.

Down the road, we found both tradition and modernity blending wonderfully at Rasa, where we fell in love with their home furnishings! Truly gorgeous (material) bedspreads, rajais, bed sheets, cushions, and more! What more, we also found lovely dresses, tunics and light sarees. We later found out that some of their merchandise is also available at Bombay Electric. Even though this store was on the expensive side, we felt they had a really good selection, which you should definitely not miss.

Origin by Priya Tholia
We think it’s not much of a coincidence that we did see some very similar themes in Nidhi and Priya Tholia’s range. However, now that these former partners operate their own stores, Origin is worth checking out. Priced very reasonably for kurtis/tunics (we picked one up for as little as Rs. 3500) and also had a range of anarkalis and sarees to choose from. The store we went to was smaller, but they had a good variety of merchandize and were also able to customize and courier.

Jaipuri rajais, pure cotton kurtas for kids, liitle dresses for girls, cotton tunics, home decor and also lovely stationery, we spent more time than we expected at this design store. We walked out happily with loads of shopping bags. Love those printed rajais! Check their website here.
If range is what you are looking for, you will get that and more at Rana’s. We went there specifically to look for leheriya sarees and found a few easily wearable and priced affordably.

Famous for it’s block printing on apparel, home furnishings, accessories and more, you may already be familiar with Anokhi in Mumbai, but here in Jaipur, it comes attached with an organic cafe that patrons swear by! With options for both sweet and savoury food, from mini muffins to cheesecake, bean burgers, iced carrot-cake and more, you may as well fill your stomachs as you empty your pockets. Also, on the menu, you will find fresh juices and fresh french press organic coffee.
