A kaleidoscope of art, theatre, dance, food, cinema, literature and more, the 9-day Kala Ghoda Art Festival beckons the city once again to the iconic cultural hub. Scheduled from 2nd to 10th February 2013, ‘change’ seems to be the underlying theme of different categories this year.
Book lovers can catch book launches and storytelling sessions, while aspiring writers can head for the wildlife writing workshop. Watch screenings of movies spread across different genres and timelines, from the 1984 The Killing Fields, Three Kings (1999) to the more recent ones like No One Killed Jessica and The Dark Knight Rises.
The music scene
this year will see compositions by Rhythm Method, Sparsh and even artistes from NSPA. The Theatre category
will see plays like Animal Farm
, White Noise
and other acts put together by veteran and amateur directors. In its second year, the Food section
will have master classes to learn cuisines like Mediterranean, Mexican and even Bengali. We are looking forward to Pooja Dhingra’s demonstration on desserts. Like every year, the streets
will come alive with vibrant performances by folk dances, musicians and street plays. Also, know more about your city with the numerous heritage walks
organised that will take you down memory lane.
