Fashion’s love affair with prints just doesn’t seem to end. With their bright colours and bold patterns, prints not only make you look stylish, but also help you stand out from the crowd. First created back in the 14th century, aztec prints feature bold colours with prominent line placement, thickness and structure of the design.
Tribal prints is a contemporary style of design which has originated from Africa. These prints feature vibrant colours and often represent a symbol through their patterns and art.
Ikat is a dyeing technique used in textiles prior to weaving. The print follows a symmetric pattern and usually features bold and bright colours.
The word ‘psychedelic’ means ‘mind manifesting’, and this print depicts kaleidoscopically swirling patterns. Psychedelic designs are colourful and their patterns usually include concentric circles, spirals, diffraction patterns and some entoptic motifs.
Tie-dye is a technique for dyeing textiles which combines bright primary colours with bold patterns. The various patterns include mandala, peace sign and spiral.
This type of print resembles the pattern of the skin and fur on an animal. The prints vary from leopard, cheetah, zebra, tiger, spotted hyena, striped hyena, giraffe and african wild dog.
Graffiti is the scribbling words or drawings on walls or huge surfaces. And these have taken a place on outfits, too. These prints can be bold or subtle and anything from simple letters to artistic designs.
A floral print is associated with any plant form—it can be a flower, a bud or even a tree. Their patterns vary depending upon the scale of florals, some of them are called liberty and ditsy.
These prints often depict varied geometric shapes and designs. Geometric prints range from blocking random shapes to various patterns of Islamic art.
Ethnic prints are prints inspired from different cultures. It showcases a vast variety of exotic patterns from all over the world.
Conversational prints originated from the 20th century and are still very much loved by all. These are recognisable prints of everyday objects, people, animals, holiday symbols, logos for games, etc.
