Learn Scuba Diving Without Leaving The City
Did you know, in order to scuba dive anywhere in the world, you need a license? But this license isn’t that hard to get hold of, in fact, it’s quite a fun experience.
Lacadives has weekly training programmes in Mumbai, in pools across the city, where you can participate in the training, learn to scuba dive, and get your license from internationally recognised Professional Association of Dive Instructors (PADI).
In order to get a license which allows you to scuba dive up to 18 metres in open sea, you need to complete a certificate course of 5 chapters of theory with a multiple choice exam, 5 dives in confined water and 4 dives in open water. It seems like a lot of work, but the license you receive is globally accepted and valid for life.
Lacadives allows you, within the city, to complete your basic training and 5 confined dives under their supervision. The course which takes place from 8:30 am to 4 pm on weekends, will cost Rs. 14,000 (plus taxes) per person, but also has group discounts. You can then complete the 4 open water dives (referral course) in their centre at the Andaman Islands for Rs. 11,000. If you wish to complete the entire course at the Andaman Islands, the 4-5 day course will cost Rs. 22,000 per person.
