Why We Love The New Boys in Bollywood
Of course, they’re all great looking, a bunch of fine actors with immense talent, too. But excuse me for saying this – one thing that I like to see in the leading stars of a movie, apart from talent, is great style! Of late, everyone’s promoting their movies left, right and center – be it on television shows or offline events.
And naturally, stylists are making a buck out of the number of looks and appearances they put together for this promotion plan. And of course, I absolutely love it! Why, you ask? Because it’s the quickest way of looking into which designers’ collections will be trending on the red carpets through the season. Anyway, coming back to the boys at hand, here are some super hunky men with some super funky looks that I’ve absolutely loved, take a look:
I’ll be honest, I haven’t seen his debut movie even, but I love how the man carries himself. There’s so much panache in the way he conducts himself, and manages to make a plain white T-shirt look dapper! (Okay yes, maybe I’m being a little biased here – I’ve got a mini-crush!)
Siddharth Malhotra is someone who has proved himself with all the hard work, that’s for sure. With his upcoming release being much talked about, I can’t wait to see his performance in the flick, Hasee Toh Phasee. Siddharth undoubtedly looks like a stud on the ramp – and no surprises there, considering his history in modeling! My favorite look from these three is the one in the middle: polka dotted denim shirt with a mint green blazer and brown chinos – the tan/mint contrast with the blue is such a breeze of fresh air.
Too much black and white for this set? Maybe yes, but Arjun Kapoor looks great in the monochrome! If you’ve spotted the Gunday star in a casual tank with the jacket on and a pair of denims, you know you won’t care about anything else. Psst…I can’t wait to see what him and Ranveer Singh have brewed together in the upcoming flick!
TV star gone movie star, he may be just a movie or two old, but this handsome man sure knows how to play his cards right. And no, I’m referring to nothing but his sense of style. We’ve spotted him in Indian wear, track pants, casuals and suits, and somehow, he manages to pull them all off with an effortless sense of style.
He just had to be on the list, of course. This good looker may just be a film old, but is such a star already. From being the show-stopper at popular fashion weeks to signing some of the biggest projects in the industry, he certainly has it all. From the looks here, my favorite one undoubtedly is the one with him being the show stopper for Manish Malhotra’s SS 2013 show at Lakme Fashion Week. The raw-silk teal jacket and all-white inners balances so much of the color. Bonus points for the tan footwear.
