Making Belvedere Cocktails At Home

If you aren’t fascinated by the writing world, let me tell you, you should be. I say that, because we were amongst the lucky few who got to attend a masterclass at Wink, Taj Vivanta. And not just any masterclass, this was one where Allison Dedianko – Global Brand Ambassador, Belvedere Vodka took us through making our own flavoursome cocktails that do the rounds of some of the world’s prominent party capitals. This isn’t all, by the way. At the end of this masterclass we got to go behind the scenes and break into a bartending jig with Allison herself, as we made our own cocktail and personalized it to suit our taste, expert style!

For the inside scoop though (read: cocktail recipes) and to be invited to a similar event, you don’t need to put in even half the hard work that we writers put in. You only need to read on and you’ll have in your hand the key to the kryptonite.

Tips n’ Tricks:

* Always chill your glasses by filling them to the brim with ice cubes, before you start mixing your drink. A cold cocktail in a warm glass can be a big downer.

* Ice-shaking post adding egg whites should be done more vigorously than usual. This ensures uniform mixing of ingredients and whisking of egg whites by the ice cubes.

* Simple Syrup is a mixture of water and sugar taken in a 1:1 ratio.

* Consequently ‘Cardamom infused Simple Syrup’ or ‘Clove infused Simple Syrup’ is the reduction of hot water and sugar in a 1:1 ratio after adding cardamom or clove in it, while maintaining the ratio.
