Six Contemporary Artists, One Group Show
Art Musings is playing host to a group exhibition at its gallery where works from the archives of 6 contemporary artists are on display.
Baiju Parthan has employed a visual vocabulary of items that represent mysterious ideas and a range of virtual 3D objects to produce video installations and paintings in oil and acrylics. Gopikrishna's oil paintings seem like pages from a book of fairy tales where you can view contrasting ideas like the ordinary and the impossible.
Shibu Natesan's works resemble the original, displaying its true meaning without altering the appearance. Raghava KK explores new avenues to expand his creativity and works in genres as disparate as iPad Art, painting, film, installation, multimedia and performance. Sudarshan Shetty's works displays a combination of the representational and the contrast across media like sculpture, installations and paintings.
Bose Krishnamachari combines Western image making techniques with the old ones to arrive at something that is contemporary and brisk.
The exhibition continues till 30th August, 2012
