New Japanese Restaurant in Bandra

From the guys behind Lemon Grass comes a new eatery, Aoi (pronounced as aawee) in Bandra this week that boasts a visual composition of origami and modern manga art work on the walls.
On menu are Japanese inspired dishes that range from sushi (makis, temakis and nigiris), ramen, donburi, bento and katsu to miso soup and more. Look out for the chef’s signature mains that include tofu steak with lotus root, pickled ginger and orange ponzu, chicken curry with yuzu greens and shibazuke served with sticky rice and sushi rice risotto with brandy flavoured newbery prawns among others. You can also choose from 15 flavoured teas from around the world.
For the ones on the go, the restaurant has a takeaway menu. Grab a Bento Box, a traditional meal that features flavoured rice, mini sushis, stir fried greens, a grilled meat/vegetable and miso soup.
The restaurant is open from noon to midnight and also offers deliveries in Bandra, Khar, BKC and Mahim.
