First Look at Nom Nom: Southeast Asian Food Comes to Versova with a Vengeance
We were trying to decide where to go for dinner on Sunday and decided to walk to one of the restaurants close by and just pick based on everyone’s mood. As we were walking down the street, we noticed this new restaurant, Nom Nom serving South East Asian Food. On asking the security guard we found out that the restaurant had opened that day itself. We peeked inside to find a beautiful little restaurant with gorgeous decor making it very easy to convince our group of seven to try it out.
The restaurant has both an indoor and an outdoor seating section. The outdoor has four couches with tables and also a long bar counter running along the edge with bar stools giving the outside more of a lounge feel rather than that of a restaurant. The closest comparison that comes to mind for the outdoor section, was that it was a smaller version of Aurus. We chose to sit indoors as that would be a more comfortable option for dining. Inside there were five to six tables that could seat six people each and luckily there was one table free.
Scouring over the menu I noticed the restaurant served thai, chinese and sushi. We ordered a mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Service was slow, but given that it was their first night in business, we decided to go easy on judging them. We ordered Salmon Sushi, Chicken Clear Soup, Tom Yum Soup, Nasi Goreng, Crispy Sesame Chicken and a few more dishes. Generally everything that came to the table was good and we put in repeat orders for both the Wasabi Prawns and Thai Basil Chicken which were both a big hit.
All in all it was a good meal and we would definitely go back.
