In between all the tall commercial buildings at Nariman Point, we will see a new eatery opening soon at Express Towers. It’s called The Sassy Spoon
and is owned by 24-year-old Rachel Goenka who is a trained pastry chef and daughter of the MD of Indian Express newspaper, Viveck Goenka. The restaurant will serve European cuisine that will have a diverse range of dishes designed by Rachel and Chef Irfan Pabaney who has worked with restaurants like Indigo and Yauatcha. We decided to pass by the restaurant and noticed that it’s still in the making, as we saw plastic covered chairs and a quirky wall. The restaurant will also have an alfresco area and is surrounded by pretty plants. Maybe those office lunch breaks will get sassier at Nariman point.
The Sassy Spoon is expected to open by mid January 2013.
