Revamp and Style Your Indian Casuals To Look UBER Chic
If asked to put together a feminine look in your favourite LBD, it would probably take you minutes. Alternatively, if you had to dress in a fancy anarkali for your friend’s wedding, you would look stunning. However, one thing most Indian women have trouble with putting together a trendy look with their traditional casual wear. We may put on the salwaar-kameez and kurti quite often, so why not spice this look up as well?
Here are a few simple tips to make your Indian casual wear look uber cool.
When donning a salwaar suit or kurti and leggings, a minor change to the dupatta may change your look from “auntyji” to “cool chic”. You may try different ways to drape your stole or dupatta from neck loop style to knots, over the hand and more.
Pants and Kurti
The lace bottom pants have been trending since a while. We love this style, however, we believe in experimenting and mix-and-match. Take your palazzo pants and pair with a long or short kurti for work. See the magic!
Patiala and Short kurti
We often wear a patiala and fitted kurta when stepping out. It is casual and comfortable. Now try these bottoms or dhoti pants with a short kurti. Add a touch of antique jewellery and voila, you’re an arty lady.
Skirt and Kurti/Anarkali
You’re probably thinking lehenga-choli at work, really? Nah, that is not what we mean. Take a casual maxi or tea length skirt and wear it with a short kurti. You will create a confluence of traditional and contemporary looks. With a maxi skirt, you may even wear a long A-line or anarkali kurta for an offbeat style.
Designers all over have used kotis or traditional jackets. Add a halter koti or a full sleeve jacket to your casual kameez and you may transform its entire look.
Hope this helps you change your causal Indian wear styles. Do tell us if you try any of these ideas in the comments section below.
