Beauty Review: Can This Cream ACTUALLY Get Rid Of Wrinkles?
Ladies, we know you love natural, glowing skin. But thanks to pollution, stress, dust, sun rays and, of course, age, your skin loses its texture and shine. Here’s where anti-ageing treatments, from cosmetic surgeries to anti-ageing creams, come in. But with the range of options available, it can get confusing.
So we decided to review Oriflame’s newly launched Ecollagen Range of anti-ageing treatment. The products are equipped with plant stem-cell extract and offer wrinkle treatment, along with protection from sunlight during the day and a long-lasting effect at night.
We picked the day and night cream and asked Mrs Asha Jain to review it. Mrs Jain is middle-aged and has normal, but sensitive skin, and she tried these products for 10 days. Here’s what she had to say.
Ecollagen Wrinkle Correcting Day Cream SPF 15 (50ml for Rs 1,699)
Claims: Reduces fine lines and wrinkles, along with moisturising the face and offering sun protection.
Mrs Jain Reviews:
a. Fragrance and Feel: “To start off, the cream smells good but does not have a strong fragrance. This is ideal for me as I have sensitive skin and can’t handle strong smells. Additionally, it is light and spreads easily, and doesn’t even feel sticky or heavy on my skin.”
b. Skin Softness and Sun Protection: “I did find my skin feeling fresh and there was no need for a moisturiser. Though the cream also offers mild sun protection, I would not skip my regular sunscreen while using it.
c. Anti-Ageing: “I did not find a visible difference in my wrinkles as I have used it for only 10 days, but I do feel my skin being slowly rejuvenated.”
d. Value-For-Money: My current day cream is around the same price, but hard to find in India. So, I would switch over to this one as it offers the same results.”
Ecollagen Wrinkle Correcting Night Cream (50ml for Rs 1,699)
Claims: Keeps your skin hydrated and reduces wrinkles due to dryness. Works through the night, thus offering long-lasting effects.
Mrs Jain Reviews:
a. Fragrance and Feel: “For the night cream, I was looking for something slightly more heavy than the day one, as it may be wiped off during sleep. However, this cream is just as light as the former.”
b. Skin Softness and Long Lasting: “While I like that it spreads easily and gives a hydrated feel to my skin, I do wish it was slightly stronger and lasted through the night as it claims. I expect my skin to feel equally hydrated when I wake up.”
c. Anti-Ageing: “Just like the day cream, I used this for 10 days, so could not see very significant anti-ageing results. But I did feel the skin became softer than before and a slight difference in my fine lines.”
c. Value For Money: “It does suit my skin very well and I would definitely switch over to this one over my current cream.”
