Shake A Cocktail To Cool Off This Summer
The heat comes, the heat goes; and with the fluctuating but always uncomfortable environment, Mumbai is getting unbearable, especially while the sun is still up.
So here is a way to stay cool, buzzed and calm this summer, two recipes of interesting cocktails which are easy to make at home and delightful to drink during the day.
Spiced Rum Mojito
Captain Morgan rum 60ml
4 Orange slices
5 Mint leaves
Demirara sugar 1 teaspoon
Method – In a mixing can muddle the orange slices, mint and sugar. Pour the rum. Shake with four cubes of ice for 5 seconds then pour in a desired glass and top with coke. Garnish with a sugar cane stick.
Premium rum – 2 oz
Triple sec – 1 oz
Mango Juice – 2 oz
Orange juice – 2.5 oz
Grenadine – a dash of it
Method – In a mixing tin combine all ingredients except grenadine syrup and flash blend for 3 seconds. Fill a mug with ice and pour the drink in it. Finish it with a splash of grenadine syrup. Garnish it with an orange flag and serve.
1 (1.5 fluid ounce) Vodka
1/2 fluid ounce Blue Curacao
2 fluid ounces Sour Mix
1 (12 fluid ounce) Lemonade
1 Lemon – cut into wedges, for garnish
Method – Fill a Collins glass with ice. Pour in vodka, blue curacao and sour mix. Fill to the top with lemonade. Garnish with lemon wedge, and serve with straw.
