The graceful hip drops, rolls and pivots in the Belly Dance are based on movements that come naturally to the female form.Belly Dancing or Raks Sharki as it is also called is a popular form of dance that does a lot for the body.
While you Belly Dance away, you also tone your muscles, improve your posture and loose weight. Belly Dancing benefits the body in multiple ways and is a great preparation for childbirth and stress reduction.
About the Teacher:
The instructor, Ketaki Salvi is a folk and classical dance teacher with a Bharatnatyam background. A trained Dance Therapist who conducts Movement Therapy Workshops for teachers, counselors, psychologists and corporates, Ketaki has a wide repertoire of experience that includes a stint with the Jhalak Dikhlaja team, choreography for actresses like Udita Goswami and various ad films. A chance meeting with a belly dancer from Europe led Ketaki to explore Belly Dancing and added a whole gamut of movements and inspirations. Ketaki has been successfully teaching Belly Dancing for the last three years
