SPICE – Photography Workshop in Bandra

Hey all! Let’s bring in the festive week by shopping for Diwali gifts from exhibitions held across various venues. There is also a street photography workshop, a sundown party, a ‘green’ festival and lots more. Happy Weekend!


26th October – On Saturday, Candies in Bandra (near Learners Academy) is holding a Bazaar and Bling event, where you can shop for clothes, jewellery, accessories, home décor, gadgets and gifts for the festive season. It will be on from 11 am till 8 pm. You can also treat yourself to a foot massage while there, and indulge in cupcakes from Candies.

Till 2nd November – If you’re in search of pretty diyas and candles to brighten up your house this Diwali and are not sure where to get them, head to Theena’s Little Den in Tardeo for their pre-Diwali exhibit of exotic Diwali decorations. Choose from a  range of diya sets with 7 colour changing LED lights, shubhlabhs, ready rangolis, torans, candle and candle holders, chocolates, and more.

25th and 26th October – Head to Anemos at Raghuvanshi Mills, Lower Parel on Friday or Saturday for a festive exhibition called ‘CoolHunting’. Curated by Chanda Chaudhari Barrai, find cool and rare products from across India in fashion, home décor, jewellery and more. You will come across a lot of Indian culture at the event. The exhibit is on from 11 am till 7 pm.

Food and Nightlife

27th October – Enjoy a Sunday Sundown Session at Bungalow 9 in Bandra and get your groove on. Multiple artists will be playing underground electronica music. Dance to the tunes of DJ M.A.N, Helium Projec, Bullzeye and Qwiver and dig into a selection of food and drinks. Also, free shots for the ladies! The sundown starts at 5 pm and entry is free till 7 pm, post which it will cost Rs. 500 including cover. Call on 9769899938 to RSVP.


25th October to 2nd November – The Green People of India is organizing the second edition of The Green People Festival to raise consciousness about pure natural living. Omved will have workshops such as Know Your Personality With Colour and Aroma Therapy, Super Shakes, Beauty at Home and Story Yoga over the course of the festival. Other brands from the country like Earthcraft (Uttarakhand), Aura Herbalwear (Ahmedabad), Indigreen (Mumbai) and more will also be participating. The festival is on from 11 am till 8:30 pm at The Birla Wellness Center, near Tulip Star, Birla House, Juhu.


27th October – This Sunday, make your kids join a multi craft workshop at Out of the Blue, Bandra that will take place from 1 pm till 3 pm.
Children will learn to create beautiful objects using different craft techniques. The instructors will guide them in making creative souvenirs that they can take home.

26th and 27th October – All shutterbugs in the city can join a photography workshop with SPICE as they take you to the streets of Bandra, filled with culture and heritage, waiting for you to capture it through your lens. This practical street workshop for DSLR enthusiasts and amateurs will help you create your own portfolio of Bandra. Learn the nuances of photography from Photo Journalist Shailesh Andrade, Mentor at SPICE.
