Skirts For Your Body Type
A skirt is one of the most loved and lusted after garments. Yes, by men too. Because didn’t Celtic-Scottish men wear kilts on important occasions?
Now without letting the men in on our territory, let’s get to the short and long of it!
So for beginners, here’s a list of tips and tricks that would help you choose the right skirts for your body type
Ladies with slight curves could opt for flared or tapering skirts but with details like bigger prints, tulle, poofs and pleats. Also, a peplum skirt would be perfect to give the illusion of fuller curves. They should avoid baggy, loose skirts since it might look like they are drowning in them!
Ladies, if you have an hourglass figure, you could go for a slightly flared A-line skirt, cut at the knee or just above, that will diminish your behind, even out your frame, and leave just enough leg showing. Of course if you are in the mood to play up your curves, you could wear a pencil skirt too!
Pear shaped ladies, being smaller on the top and with a heavier bottom, should do away with lighter colors and stay away from any kinds of embellishments on the skirts. A wrap tulip skirt would be the most flattering for you.
Fuller women should wear a pencil skirt in darker shades cut at or just below the knee.
Lastly but most importantly take care with your inner-wear, and don’t give fodder to the fashion police!
Hemlines may go up or down but, there’s a skirt somewhere made for you!
