Ten Looks We Love From Lakme Fashion Week’s Gen Next Show
Day 1 of Lakme Fashion Week began with our gen next designers exhibiting their collection. With so much young talent, it seemed like LFW got a perfectly refreshing start, like a new dawn. Here are ten looks we love from the show.
Mirage Paris, the brainchild of Parul Bhargava displayed an array of ready-to-wear ensembles in white along with a burst of shades of tangerine and blue. Thigh high slits, midi length skirts and dresses, wide legged trousers were predominant in her collection.
Rouka by Shrijith Jeevan brought to us a beautiful glimpse of monsoon. The black and white ensembles, the umbrella reminded us of the good old pyaar hua ikraar hua days. He crafted kurtis, cropped kimono sleeves jacket, skirts from organza giving it an edgy effect.
Vilvin Sabu’s collection featured simple cuts and elegant silhouettes. Printed shorts, pants with zip detailing, short shift dresses all in shades of yellow, blue, pink, orange and beige made the ramp get alive.
Divya Sheth’s collection looked like the intricate and rich porcelain china. White and blue were predominant in the collection. Asymmetric cuts seen in plenty giving the ensembles an edgy look.
Selvage by Chandni Mohan featured tunics, shifts, thigh high slits in shades of blue, black and orange. A touch of gold metallic detailing added to the glam factor. All-in-all the collection looked mesmerising and elegant. Just what a diva would wear to a party!
