The Oscars 2013: Gowns Galore
The leading ladies went all out for Tinseltown’s biggest night of the year, The Oscar Awards. With plenty of interesting dresses to look out for, especially in pastels, white and metallics, here are the sartorial choices of your fave actresses at the the biggest runway on earth, The Academy Awards.
Jennifer arrived on the red carpet glowing in a strapless red number with a big full skirt. Some may argue that her look was too plain but having always been a fan of her style, I think she looked red hot!
Anne was a vision in pale pink as she floated down the red carpet in her backless Prada gown. She may be receiving flack for the way her chest looked in it but I for one love her choice of gown and think she looked perfect. Also, loving those Tiffany diamonds worn backwards!
She seriously upped the fashion ante, in a pristine white peplum gown that fit her like a dream. How great is it that she even manages to make a fierce crop like that look fantabulous?!
She’s not one to usually go this glam, which explains why K-stew looked pretty uncomfortable and a tad awkward in her Oscars avatar. I’m not a fan of the pale blush frothy dress, nor of the bed-head hair.
Reese worked it in a beautiful mid-night blue Louis Vuitton gown and side-swept waves. Apparently, her 13-year old daughter helped choose her gown and contributed to her charming ‘old Hollywood glam’ look.
Catherine Zeta Jones
Catherine brought some serious glitz to the red carpet in an attention-grabbing, metallic gold gown. She sure does look stunning but my only qualm is with the pancake of make-up. Wish she would have let her natural beauty do the talking.
Not only did Jennifer win best actress, she also won the title of being one of the best dressed at the Oscars as she glided in wearing a voluminous Dior gown. Like Anne Hathaway, She also finished off her dramatic look with a Chanel necklace worn backwards. Looks like the sparks of a new trend, don’t you think?
The actress looked beautiful as always in glitzy, black gown with some serious embellishments. She was probably one of the only stars who didn’t opt for waves or a dramatic up do, but went with can’t-go-wrong straightened locks.
Like Catherine Zeta Jones, Naomi also went the metallic route and she sure did shine. She looked out of this world in a futuristic shimmery grey gown with sequins all over.
