About the artist: Dilip G Ranade was born in Mumbai in 1950. He received a diploma in drawing and painting from the Sir JJ School of Art, Mumbai in 1971 and has since participated in several group shows in Mumbai, New Delhi and Bangalore and has also shown his work in solo shows at the Jehangir Art Gallery in Mumbai.

Ranade also enjoys teaching, and delivers lectures and slide shows on “Portraiture” as well as “Techniques of Diorama Making” at major Art Universities and Institutes in the country.
