The name is intriguing enough to pull you in; let alone the striking aqua blue facade, the partial glass windows and the bright red open sign. Sitting quietly amidst the lanes of Seawoods (further ahead of Nerul, Navi Mumbai), The Stolen Coffee Room
gives an impression of a small yet charming European cafe, and it doesn’t disappoint.
Pretty artefacts on the rustic walls and shelves, quirky mismatched furniture (old sewing machines for your table?) and the dim lights hanging low from the walls above every table make up the ambiance of this non-commercial coffee shop. With a glass shelf filled with desserts sitting in a row, you’ll spot some favourites like the Philadelphia Cheesecake, Red Velvet Cake and the Blueberry Cheesecake. For your caffeine cravings, there are tons of brews to choose from, whether it’s the regular mocha or latte, or for the more experimental ones, maybe a German Black Forest tart inspired rich cup of coffee served with a generous topping of whipped cream. We’d recommend the Cuban Americano (if you prefer no milk) and the Cafe Miel (base of honey with coffee, sprinkled with cinnamon). Non coffee drinkers can order for chocolate shakes, iced teas and smoothies apart from organic tea. The food menu is not as generous as the beverages one, but you have a handful of options in sandwiches available to take you through your evening.
An old world charm, this quaint coffee shop that draws inspiration from a forgotten era will make you come back just for that one extra cup of coffee. We know it might be a bit far for you, but it deserves a visit.
