Things-To-Do: Book Reading, Music Show, Improv Comedy – What’s Your TRIP?

As for miscellaneous things to do this week, it starts with book readings and progresses through to comedy and music shows, food festivals and shopping sprees. Keep reading for the simple details.


21st till 31st May: MoMo Cafe has a special treat for Italian foodies. A Pasta and Risotto festival is in store, with delcious flavours of lamb, crab, lobster, mushroom, spinach, asparagus, gnocchi and more. For more details or for bookings, call 022 61369999.

24th May (2 pm to 5:50 pm):  Members of the Union des Grands Cru de Bordeaux who are visiting Mumbai will have wine tasting at the Hotel Sofitel in Bandra Kurla Complex.

Friday (9 pm to 11 pm): Tote is a party destination in South Bombay and will give women a chance to strut in their heels and dresses on Fridays with free cocktails in celebration of Ladies Night.


Events & Shows

16th May (6:30 pm to 8 pm): Mocha TRIP will host a book reading session with noted author-journalist Meghna Pant at the Mocha outlet at Churchgate. Entry is free on first come first serve basis.

17th May (9 pm): The Irish House will host the first of its Pub Nights (to be held every Thursday) with a performance featuring Mumbai-based jam band Something Relevant. The full cover charge will be Rs. 500.

17th May (9:30 pm): Lagerbay will host an Improv Comedy Night hosted by Adam Dow, with the likes of Kaneez Surka, Naveen Kaushic and Mukul Chadda as performing artistes.


20th May: Out Of The Blue, at Powai, will live up to its tagline of ‘Something’s Always Happening’ as it gets ready to host the Kingfisher Bazaar this Sunday. It will be a chance to load up on great clothing, footwear, accessories, home decor and more.

Kalki has announced the launch of its new line of sarees which are designed for every women’s mood and personality.
