Things-to-do: Cooking Class for Men and Get Messy with Pots

This week, we let you in on two new outlets of frozen yogurt joints that open up just when the summer heat strikes again. For men who know not a thing about wearing a chef’s hat, there’s a beginners cooking class that will help you impress the ladies with your culinary skills. April onwards – Two new outlets of two famous frozen yogurt joints have sprung up this month.


 

After building an addicted fan following in Bandra and South Mumbai, Yogurt Bay has expanded its reach to Versova by opening an outlet inside Chai Coffee Café. The store will open tomorrow i.e. 6th April 2013 and will introduce breakfast smoothies, along with 4 yogurts and 16 toppings, not to forget their signature cake pops.


 

6th Street Yogurt has opened its second store in Mumbai at Shivaji Park in Dadar (first one being in Breach Candy) with a new menu to add to its existing list of extensive toppings and flavours. With a seating area for about 15 people, the store has launched a range of gourmet desserts that include variations in famous international delicacies like baked Alaska, crepe filled with frozen yogurt and toppings, waffles and more.

Every Saturday, April onwards – When you’re making a bucket list, add this event to it: Olive Bar and Kitchen in Bandra has started Bucket Saturdays, where guests get a massive discount on their drinks. Order a bucket of 6 small drinks, and pay only for 4. And if you’re the I-only-do-shots kind of person, then get their shot-in-a-bucket offer, and gulp down a variety of colourful spirits.





 

Till 30th April – Foodhall at Palladium is celebrating Mexican Fiesta by introducing Mexican products and specialties, sampling of delicacies, tips and live demos, recipes and more. This Saturday, head to Amadeus in Nariman point for a night of old school hip-hop and vocal house beats in a party hosted by Festival Sherpa. Starting at 9 pm, the club will witness DJ Nanok’s upbeat retro music and the entry is free for ladies before 11:30 pm.





 

April onwards – Indulge in a 4-course new lunch menu at Irish House, Kala Ghoda for Rs. 349 that includes salad of the day, an appetizer, choice of main course and a dessert. 9th April – Always wanted to churn out a beautiful pot but didn’t know where you could learn the art in Mumbai? High Street Phoenix’s April edition of Talent Tuesdays brings to you a pottery workshop, where you can make your own pot and paint it even if it’s your very first time. The workshop is hosted in collaboration with Nalanda Foundation and will take place between 2 pm and 7 pm at the Courtyard in HSP. It’s time to get dirty and messy!





 

7th April – APB Cook Studio is holding a beginners cooking class on Sunday, only this time it is exclusive to men. This cooking class for men is designed to teach first-timers, dishes that are made using simple ingredients and techniques. Men can learn to cook aromatic parsley potatoes, pan-fried chicken in exotic spices, two types of pastas and lots more. The class costs Rs. 2,500 plus taxes per person and it will take place from 11 am to 2 pm. 7th April – If you’re looking for a day of tranquility and calm amidst nature, then head to Sanjay Gandhi National Park this Sunday with Jumpstart for a yoga and wellness session. The session will go on for 6 hours and patrons will have to meet at 7 am at the Borivali gate of the park.
