25th to 31st December 2012: Jehangir Art Gallery is hosting Neha Majithia’s solo exhibition titled Beauty Matters. Her work is about explicit narratives and loud figures, typically excluded from official canons of history, religion, and art. A broad range of the collection includes the iconography of Hindu mythology, 20th century European portraiture and fairytales, song lyrics, as well as contemporary visual culture such as Bollywood posters, anime, and comic books. Scary House is a haunted space, India’s first Horror concept where the chilling world of dead and alien creatures come alive from behind the cracking doors and moving walls.
