Top 5 Beauty Products Under Rs 500
With the party fever still raging (yes, shaadi season is not over yet!), you’re going to need your dose of beauty products for quite a while. For those of us on a beauty budget, I’m going to share my list of top five products I think you could ‘add to cart’ if you’re running out of your current stock, and still haven’t stocked up for the weeks to come. Here goes -

Lakme’s Perfecting Liquid Foundation
Priced at a super affordable Rs 110, this liquid foundation is available in two to three shades: light, medium and darker skin tones. Blend this with your concealer or a daily moisturizer, and you’re going to have the smoothest finish ever! Plus points if you team it up with the product that’s next on my list.
Lakme’s Flawless Matte Compact
One of the things I love about Lakme, apart from the fact that it’s an Indian brand, is how affordable it is. This matte compact, which has a finish equivalent to any other brand (personally I feel as good as MAC, L’Oreal, Colorbar) is priced at a measly Rs 300. Giving the liquid foundation of Lakme, or any other brand, a perfect finish, this one is great to add on your everyday sunscreens as well. Available for different skin tones and the size being easy to carry around, it’s definitely got to be in every girl’s mobile vanity.
L’Oreal Kajal Magique
The first ever kajal by L’Oreal, Kajal Magique is finally out in the market for purchasing. Being water and smudge proof, and being priced at a surprisingly lower rate compared to other products from the brand, the kajal pencil is very easy to use for inner and out definitions. The product that’s worth Rs 245 in the market, is also very handy to use for smudging across the eye socket and creating a smokey eye effect – every girl’s favorite party look, isn’t it?
L’Oreal Color Riche Hot Pink Nail Enamel
Skin, hair and now nails – with trends like nail art taking over the world, especially Instagram, it’s nice to have a little solid every once in a while. Paint your nails a vibrant hue that will not just stand out on your LBD, but will also go with every other color and look. Hot pink, something not too red, not too sober, is definitely my definition of finding the right balance for a look. Priced at: Rs 235
Color Bar Crome Touch Lipstick
Another one of my balancing techniques, I love mixing lipsticks with different shades as well as adding balms, glosses and plumpers. With bright lips and contoured cheeks, there’s no way you’re not going to turn heads around this party season. Priced at: Rs 450
Hope this list helped you save a buck, as you added to your beauty products supply for the season.
Have a glamourous 2014!
