Our Trend Picks from London Fashion Week Autumn-Winter 2014
We take inspiration from global trends and translate them to suit our taste. Our staple skinny jeans, quirky jackets and eye-catching accessories are a result of international runway looks. We, at InOnIt, bring to you your daily dose of fashion so that you’re en vogue every day. Today we talk about the styles we love from the ramps of London Fashion Week Autumn-Winter 2014.
Check out breakfast prints, novel hues, matching prints, folksy and nerdy patterns along with geometric cuts.
Cereal Box Look
Ever woke up in the morning and had a crazy idea for designing bags that can gain international popularity? Well, Kate Middleton’s favourite bag designer Anya Hindmarch did! She converted prints, logos and mascots of popular cereal brands into delectable, err… divalicious bags. Not sure if the royalty will love this idea, but we definitely do.
Deep Blue and Blood Maroon
While we love Radiant Orchid and Dazzling Blue, the major colors for Spring 2014. However, LFW refreshingly showcases deep blue and blood maroon in it’s color palette. It’s time you gave this combo a whole-hearted try. We’re sure it won’t let you down.
Match the Print
Aztec, animal, abstract, pictures, stripes, and bug print; phew, these are all popular currently. Matching printed apparel was an interesting take on this trend at London Fashion Week. While we were skeptical about the idea of it (overdose of prints) initially, we have fallen in love with the actual result of it.
Hippie, folksy and bohemian vibe ruled the runway at London Fashion Week, and we’re not complaining. Casual, comfy and super chic looks have won our hearts earlier, and they still do.
The epic film series is now a muse for designers. Preen at LFW featured a whole collection on Darth Vader. We see this trend getting bigger as New York Fashion Week too had the Star Wars theme and Princess Leia inspired outfits on Rodarte’s show. Check out, you must!
Sharp cuts, angular patterns and stiff fabrics have been a beautiful sight at LFW, and we can’t wait to see how the geometric patterns rule the global street style. We adore the dapper and dazzling look.
