Up In The AER
As you ascend to the top floor of the Four Seasons Hotel in Worli, get off the elevator and continue walking upstairs to AER, it really feels like you’ve taken an elevator ride to a rooftop bar in New York City, except you have a view of Worli seaface and Haji Ali. We decided to go for an evening snack and drinks to check out their new menu.
In spite of it being a Monday evening, almost all the tables were occupied with people grabbing a drink or meeting for dinner post-work. We ordered a couple of ‘Bombay Bellini’s (champagne with mango nectar) to begin. Ladies, you will surely enjoy this drink, which doesn’t taste very strong and is delicious.
We ordered the olive oil base roasted mushroom, thyme and garlic pizza, and sushi (spicy tofu and avocado). While we loved the sushi, especially the avocado, which was fresh and flavorful, we found the mushroom pizza a bit bland.
The next round of drinks were a couple of ‘Ladyboy’s (yes, we were feeling nostalgic about our trip to Thailand), which had rum, kaffir lime, coconut syrup and grapefruit. I enjoyed this drink a bit more than the Bellini as the twist of lime was quite refreshing on a warm evening.
Being October, it was a muggy night, which was not so conducive to being outdoors. But we definitely plan on being back in December!
