Who Wears the Best Accessories in Bollywood?

Bollywood beatuies

We rate Bollywood beauties on our style-o-meter.

With the new season of fashion rolling in, we already gave you a heads-up on the trending accessories straight from the international runways for Spring 2014. Now it’s time we looked closer home for fashion inspiration and what better source than our Bollywood beauties. This week, we put some of the B-town girls under our style microscope to see who wears the best accessories in Bollywood and who doesn’t.  Find out here.

1. Sonakshi Sinha
Where: Star Guild Awards 2014
What: Black coloured Rachel Roy jumpsuit, Atelier Mon Turquoise earrings, ring from House of Chic and Steve Madden Spiked peep toes.

Sonakshi Sinha

Our Dabangg girl is high on style.

Our Verdict: Yay!
While she continues to play the simpleton in her reel life roles, when it comes to real life, Sonakshi Sinha is bringing about quite a fashion revolution. Her choice of accessories at the recent event added much-needed color and spunk to the outfit and we absolutely love the look from head to toe.

2.  Sonam Kapoor
Where: Filmfare Nominations Party 2014
What: Anuskha Khanna’s beaded blue evening gown, Emerald Drop earrings and Bottega Veneta knot clutch.

Sonam Kapoor

Sonam disappoints us this time.

Our Verdict: Nay!
She has always been a fashion icon in Bollywood and we can’t stop raving about her sense of style either. Well that was before Sonam disappointed us with an evening gown that didn’t fit right and for choosing accessories that were a complete let down. We have already seen her carrying BV’s knot clutch at an earlier event, and wished she wore earrings in black or metallic shades to complement her outfit better.

3. Priyanka Chopra
Where: Koffee with Karan Season 4.
What:  Amit Aggarwal top and skirt, Mawi Earrings and Christian Dior pumps.

Priyanka Chopra

Full marks to PC for putting together a stylish look.

Our Verdict: Yay!
Always well-dressed, we are pretty pleased with PC’s styling efforts on the celebrity chat show. Even though the episode was boring and plain Jane, her interesting outfit more than made up for it. It was love at first sight between us and the punk-meets-chic pair of earrings that she wore with much élan.

4. Deepika Padukone
Where: Star Guild Award 2014
What: Shehlaa Khan lehenga and Outhouse earrings.

Deepika Padukone

We love the earrings but not with this outfit.

Our Verdict: Nay!
Another actress who usually scores high on our style-o-meter left us disappointed this time. Not only are we not a big fan of the outfit, but we can also think of so many alternatives that would have looked better on Dippy. And while the opulent-looking Maharaja earrings by Outhouse is on our wishlist, we considered it a mismatch for this particular look.

5. Shraddha Kapoor
Where: Star Guild Awards 2014
What: Donna Karan Atelier gown, Amrapali jewelry, a Judith Leiber clutch and peep-toes pumps.

Shraddha Kapoor

Shraddha Kapoor looking classy and fabulous

Our Verdict: Yay!
While her contemporaries were spotted in bright colors and edgy accessories, we love how classy this young lady got at a recent award event. Even more praise for her choice of clutch that was a subtle yet stylish add-on to her outfit.

6. Daisy Shah
Where: At Jai Ho’s promotions
What: A black jacket, blue jeans and over-the-top accessories.

Daisy Shah

Daisy Shah goes OTT with her choice of accessories.

Our Verdict: Nay!
While we are a big fan of accessories, we also believe minimalism is the key to getting it right. This newcomer needs to work on her styling skills as we see her choice of belt, neckpiece and shoes as a complete fashion disaster.
