The Week That Was: Of Couple Stories & More
Hello dahlings! Before we get ready to embark on a journey involving modaks, Indianwear, ghaati dancing and deep reverence, let’s look at all that’s been happening in the world of entertainment.
Bhatt Of All Jokes
I assure you, this is the best thing you will see all day. Major props to everyone involved in the making of this video. (It had me laughing so hard, I swear I peed in my pants a little.)
On Sunday, the world lost another cinematic legend. Richard Attenborough died at the age of 90. Attenborough, who was knighted in 1976, acted in 45 movies before he turned to directing. Among his most famous works were the 1982 Indian epic, Gandhi, which went on to win eight Oscars, including best director and best film, and science fiction adventure Jurassic Park. Your work will continue to inspire us, sir. RIP.
Of Bollywood Dreams
Are you a die-hard fan of the SRK-Kajol jodi? Did you grow up believing in love because of Raj and Simran? Well, then I have the best news for you!
A source was quoted saying to Mid-Day that Rohit Shetty has signed SRK for his next and Kajol opposite him. The pre-production work is going on and the director might make it official soon. The film will go on floors in the first half of 2015. Apparently, it was Rohit’s closeness to Ajay Devgn that helped broker peace between Shah Rukh and Ajay.
Thank you, Rohit Shetty. I’ve always liked you!
Bang Bang Indeed
Meanwhile look at these two, killing it! What do you think?
Another famous couple goes kaput?
Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey announced their separation after six years of marriage. Nick confirmed that the couple were living separately during an interview with The Insider. “There is trouble in paradise,” the America’s Got Talent host said. “We have been living in separate houses for a few months. My main focus is my kids,” he said of his three-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe. Apparently, the main issue is the fact that there’s a huge age gap between them; he always wants to party and she wants to stay at home. Hmmmm, still hoping y’all power through, guys!
Band Baaja Baraat, Hold.
You must have already heard about the whole Virat-Anushka fiasco! But Anushka Sharma’s representative has rubbished reports that she is planning to tie the knot with Indian cricketer Virat Kohli. (Yes ladies, your fav man Virat isn’t getting married, so breathe.) There were reports that BCCI had allowed the 26-year-old actress to stay in the same hotel as Kohli, the vice-captain of the Indian Cricket Team, during the tour of England as they were going to tie the knot soon. But now, the Band Baaja Baraat actress’s representative has released a statement saying there is no truth to the story.
That’s it on this week’s round-up! Till next week, stay stylish and be happy.
Xoxo (Sincerely hoping I can pull off the ‘xoxo’)
