5 Things To Do at The Kala Ghoda Arts Festival 2014
The beloved Kala Ghoda Arts Festival is back! KGAF 2014 will be held from February 1st to 9th at Kala Ghoda – the heritage art district of South Mumbai. It is the country’s largest multicultural festival, and it is undeniably one of the things that makes Mumbai what it is. Over the span of 9 days, there are around 350 events, and as much as we would like to, it is impossible to be present for each one. The ones below are some that we would definitely love to attend.
1. Unclog Mumbai – Art Installation
This is an art installation at Rampart Row, and if the past years are anything to go by, art installations have been true highlights of the Festival. This one is an installation by the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival team themselves. We are sure it will be great. One of their previous installations -
2. Food workshop by The Icing on Top
This is a food workshop conducted by dessert queen Ayushi Shah. She will be teaching enthusiasts(like us) to make delicious, eggless desserts. A fully vegetarian gourmet experience for sweet-toothed enthusiasts. This workshop will be conducted on a first come first serve basis, so you may be sure that I’ll be linng up there before time to ensure I get a seat!

3. Achla Sachdev – Fashion Shows – A 360 Degree Perspective
She will be speaking on celebrating 25 years in the fashion industry – her journey from being an aspiring model to a supermodel to an award winning fashion choreographer. We are sure it would be a fascinating insight into the world of fashion, and you’ll get to know about the many careers in fashion,including in the shows – besides being a model.

4. Such A Tart
TART Cafe, the brainchild of Aashiyana Shroff in Bandra has quickly become one of the go to places for cupcakes and themed desserts. Aashiyana will be conducting a workshop, teaching people how to make those wonderful themed creations.

5. Amy Billimoria – Wedding Trousseau
Amy is a couturier and wedding expert with two decades of experience in the field. She will be conducting a workshop on the ideal trouseeau, and give innovative ideas on how to include new trends in your wedding wear.
