Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week: Sexy, Crazy and Colourful Day 1
After the fun and frolic of Spring/Summer collections at Lakme Fashion Week earlier this month, it’s time we take a look at the trends for Autumn/Winter. Thus, comes Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week with its warm shades and hot fashion. Check out our verdict for day one.
Glamourous Tarun Tahiliani
Tarun opened for Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2014 and he did start with a bang. With strong designs and a fiery colour palette, he had the sexy Shilpa Shetty walk the ramp for him.
Wearable: Vineet Bahl
From palazzo and kameez to anarkalis and interesting ghaghra cholis, Vineet’s collections were the most wearable. While we wait to see his creations on celebs when the temperatures dip, we may take a glimpse of these lovely outfits even during summer events.
Quirky: Rina Dhaka
This time Rina Dhaka paired wearable separates, textures, sheer, structure and prints all in one with her quirky collection. We do look forward to seeing creative ways of wearing these in the upcoming months.
Creative: Kiran Uttam Ghosh
Kiran Ghosh had a melange of warm and cool colours along with classic and contemporary cuts on the runway. We found her collection the most innovative on day 1.
Outrageous: Raakesh Agarwal
Fur, feathers and dominatrix outfit seemed to dominate Raakesh’s collection for WLIFW. We are not sure how exactly to react to some of these outfits, but we did find a few pieces which would be the next fashion faux pas on the red carpet.
Pick of the Day: Anupama Dayal
Straying away from the sober colour scheme, Anupama opted for traditional pastels and created a bright Indian wear collection. Her attention to detail and styling are what we loved.
